Overview
Arash Motor Company is a boutique British manufacturer specializing in ultra-high-performance supercars and hybrid hypercars. Based in Newmarket, the company focuses on extreme power-to-weight ratios and bespoke engineering for a niche global market of collectors and performance enthusiasts.
History
Founded in 1999 by Arash Farboud as Farboud Limited, the company first gained international attention with the unveiling of the Farboud GT at the 2002 Autosport International show. After developing the Farboud GTS, the rights to that specific design were eventually sold to Ginetta, which rebranded it as the Ginetta G60, allowing Arash to pivot toward more ambitious, high-end projects. The company officially rebranded to Arash Motor Company in 2006 to reflect this new direction. Following the rebrand, Arash introduced the AF10, which featured a carbon fiber chassis and later evolved into a complex hybrid hypercar boasting over 2,000 horsepower. In 2014, the company launched the AF8, a more traditional mid-engined supercar powered by a 7.0-liter V8 engine, designed to be more compact and usable than the flagship AF10. Throughout its history, Arash has remained a strictly independent, low-volume producer, maintaining a philosophy of blending aerospace-grade materials with raw, high-output powertrains.
