Overview

Eagle is a premier British automotive specialist dedicated exclusively to the Jaguar E-Type. They are globally recognized for providing world-class restorations and creating bespoke, re-engineered versions of the E-Type that blend classic aesthetics with modern performance and reliability.

History

Founded in 1984 by Henry Pearman, Eagle initially established itself as a specialist dealer and restorer of the Jaguar E-Type in East Sussex, England. The company's primary focus was on sourcing the finest original examples and returning them to 'better than new' condition, setting a benchmark for restoration quality in the classic car industry. In the early 2000s, Eagle expanded its scope beyond restoration to develop bespoke 'Special Edition' models. These vehicles are ground-up builds that utilize original E-Type donor chassis but incorporate modern metallurgy, updated suspension geometry, and significantly improved powertrains. The launch of the Eagle Speedster in 2009 brought the firm international acclaim, followed by the Low Drag GT, which was inspired by the legendary 1962 Jaguar 'Low Drag' racer. Throughout the 2010s, Eagle continued to refine its engineering, introducing the Spyder GT and the Lightweight GT. Each model is hand-crafted to the specific requirements of the client, involving thousands of man-hours of labor. The company has maintained its boutique scale, focusing on engineering excellence rather than volume. Today, Eagle remains a family-owned business and is widely considered the leading authority on the Jaguar E-Type. Their workshop in Uckfield remains the center of their operations, where they continue to push the boundaries of what a modernized classic vehicle can achieve while preserving the soul of the original 1960s design.
