Overview

Elektron Motors is a boutique electric vehicle manufacturer based in Germany that specializes in the development of ultra-high-performance electric hypercars. The company focuses on pushing the limits of drivetrain technology and lightweight engineering to compete in the elite segment of the automotive market.

History

Elektron Motors was established as the automotive performance arm of Elektron Innovativ, an engineering firm founded by Armagan Erdem in 2017. The brand was officially introduced to the public with the goal of creating a new generation of electric supercars that could rival the performance of established internal combustion engine counterparts. The company's initial vision centered on the 'Elektron One' project, intended as a high-output electric sports car for track and road use. In 2021, the company significantly shifted its focus toward the 'Elektron Quasar,' a flagship hypercar project. The Quasar was announced with ambitious technical specifications, including a total power output exceeding 2,300 horsepower delivered through a sophisticated four-motor all-wheel-drive system. This move positioned Elektron Motors as a direct competitor to other electric hypercar manufacturers like Rimac and Lotus. Following the Quasar announcement, the company expanded its planned lineup with the 'Truva,' a slightly more accessible but still extreme electric supercar. Throughout its recent development phase, Elektron has focused on securing strategic partnerships for component manufacturing and establishing its research and development facilities in Germany. While the company remains in the pre-production and prototyping stage, it has maintained a consistent presence in the high-performance EV dialogue through digital showcases and technical design reveals.
