Overview

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) is an American boutique high-performance automotive manufacturer and racing team specializing in road-legal vehicles derived from endurance racing technology. The company operates as a low-volume manufacturer under NHTSA regulations, focusing on a "Race on Sunday, Drive on Monday" philosophy for its supercar and off-road lineups.

History

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus was founded by film producer and car collector James Glickenhaus, beginning as a high-end project in 2004 with the commission of the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina. This was followed by the P4/5 Competizione, which debuted at the 2011 Nürburgring 24 Hours, marking the brand's transition from custom commissions to a dedicated racing and engineering entity. By 2013, the company began developing its first ground-up proprietary chassis, the SCG 003, which featured a modular design capable of switching between GT3 race specifications and road-legal configurations. In the following years, SCG expanded its portfolio beyond niche track cars. In 2017, the company announced the SCG 004S, a three-seat mid-engine supercar, and the SCG Boot, a modern high-performance reimagining of the classic Steve McQueen Baja racer. These projects solidified the brand's reputation for rugged, race-proven durability across both tarmac and off-road disciplines. A major milestone was reached in the 2020s when SCG entered the FIA World Endurance Championship with the SCG 007 LMH, a Le Mans Hypercar designed to compete at the highest level of international sports car racing. This effort resulted in historic podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, making SCG the first American manufacturer to stand on the overall podium at the event in over 50 years. Today, the company continues to manufacture hand-built vehicles in the United States while maintaining a significant engineering presence in Europe.
