Overview

Akkodis ASP Team (Auto Sport Promotion) is a championship-winning French professional motorsport racing outfit and operational team rather than a standalone commercial road car OEM. Founded by racing driver Jérôme Policand, the organization specializes in high-level GT and endurance sports car competition, representing major factory partners such as Lexus/Toyota Gazoo Racing and previously Mercedes-AMG. The team acts as an official operational and racing development partner in premier global series including the FIA World Endurance Championship (LMGT3) and GT4 European Series.

History

Auto Sport Promotion (ASP) was founded in 1999 by French racing driver Jérôme Policand. The outfit made an immediate impact by securing victory in the Renault Clio V6 European Trophy in its inaugural year. ASP consolidated its reputation over the following decade by dominating national GT racing, capturing nine driver and team titles in the French Porsche Carrera Cup between 2003 and 2010. Beginning in 2011, the team transitioned to international competition within the GT3 category. In 2014, ASP made its debut at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking a major milestone for Policand, who had previously competed in the endurance classic 13 times as a driver. In 2015, engineering consultancy AKKA Technologies signed on as the primary title sponsor, establishing AKKA ASP and sparking a dominant period in the Blancpain GT Series and French GT Tour. From 2016 onward, the team forged a highly successful partnership running Mercedes-AMG GT3 machinery, securing overall titles in the Blancpain GT Series / GT World Challenge Europe and scoring an outright victory at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2022. That same year, following the merger forming the engineering giant Akkodis, the outfit was rebranded as Akkodis ASP Team. Marking its 25th anniversary in 2024, the team opened a new chapter by entering the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) LMGT3 class as the official partner team running the Lexus RC F GT3, while concurrently competing with Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo machinery in GT4 competition.
