Overview
Aspark is a Japanese engineering and human resources services company that has expanded into the automotive sector as an electric vehicle specialist. They are best known for developing the Aspark Owl, an ultra-high-performance electric hypercar designed to achieve record-breaking acceleration.
History
Aspark Co., Ltd. was founded in October 2005 by Masanori Yoshida in Osaka, Japan. Initially, the company focused on providing engineering, technical, and medical worker dispatching services to the automotive, heavy industry, and electronics sectors. This core business allowed the company to grow significantly, eventually establishing over 30 offices worldwide and employing thousands of staff. In 2015, Aspark shifted its focus toward the development of an all-electric hypercar, aiming to create a vehicle that pushed the boundaries of physics. The project, known as the Aspark Owl, was developed with the goal of achieving unprecedented acceleration. The company moved its R&D and final production operations for the vehicle to Italy in 2019 to leverage European automotive expertise. Since the unveiling of the production version of the Owl, Aspark has continued to refine its hypercar lineup, including the introduction of the SP600 and the Owl Roadster. The company has successfully set multiple world records for acceleration and speed, positioning itself as a niche manufacturer of ultra-exclusive, high-performance electric vehicles while maintaining its primary operations in engineering services.
