Overview
Togg is a Turkish mobility technology company that manufactures electric smart devices and develops a digital ecosystem. It focuses on producing born-electric vehicles and integrated software platforms to provide a user-centric mobility experience.
History
Togg (Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu) was founded on June 25, 2018, as a joint venture between five major Turkish industrial groups: Anadolu Group, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). The initiative was launched with the strategic goal of creating a globally competitive, domestically owned mobility brand to reduce Turkey's reliance on foreign automotive imports and establish a national electric vehicle ecosystem. The company unveiled its vision for a 'smart device' rather than just a car, emphasizing connectivity and digital integration. In 2020, Togg began developing its dedicated electric vehicle platform and established a partnership with Farasis Energy to create Siro, a joint venture focused on battery cell production and energy storage solutions. The company inaugurated its state-of-the-art production campus in Gemlik, Bursa, on October 29, 2022, coinciding with the 99th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. This facility was designed to be one of the cleanest automotive plants in Europe, integrating battery production and vehicle assembly. The T10X, Togg's first model, entered mass production in 2022, with customer deliveries commencing in April 2023. The company quickly established itself as a leader in the Turkish electric vehicle market. Following the success of the T10X, Togg unveiled the T10F fastback sedan at CES 2024 and began its international expansion, launching in Germany in 2025. As of 2026, the company continues to scale its production capacity and expand its service network, with plans to introduce a third model, the T6, by 2027.
