Overview
Zenos Cars is a British manufacturer specializing in high-performance, lightweight, track-focused sports cars. The company is known for its minimalist design philosophy and advanced chassis architecture, targeting driving enthusiasts and collectors.
History
Zenos Cars was founded in 2012 by former Lotus and Caterham executives Ansar Ali and Mark Edwards, with the goal of producing accessible, lightweight sports cars. The company launched its first model, the E10, in 2014, followed by the performance-oriented E10 S and E10 R variants. These vehicles gained recognition for their unique construction, which utilized a carbon fiber tub and an aluminum extruded chassis. In January 2017, the company entered administration following a series of cancelled export orders, leading to a temporary cessation of operations. The assets were subsequently acquired by a consortium in March 2017, allowing the brand to survive. After a period of dormancy, Zenos announced a return to the automotive market in 2025. The company is currently preparing for the production of new, highly advanced gasoline-powered sports cars, including the E10 RZ, with manufacturing scheduled to commence in early 2026.
