Wood Interior Veneer
Open-pore and piano wood veneers for luxury instrument panels, door cards and consoles.
Overview
Wood interior veneer is the sliced or rotary-cut timber used on luxury instrument panels, door cards, consoles and steering-wheel inserts. Open-pore walnut, eucalyptus and similar species sit alongside high-gloss piano wood; both are real timber, typically laid on a substrate and finished in the CMF stack. No timber family existed in the library. This is not leather, Alcantara, or painted piano-black polymer. Automotive wood is specified for UV, humidity and flammability, and is almost always a thin veneer rather than solid timber, often on aluminium, polymer or composite backing. Typical buyable forms are sliced veneer sheets, pre-finished skins and inlaid assemblies. FSC or equivalent chain-of-custody is increasingly part of luxury OEM specifications.
