What launched

On 4 September 2026, Jensen International Automotive revealed the track-only Interceptor GTX and confirmed a planned road-going family: the ultra-high-performance Interceptor GTR and the luxury Interceptor GT. OEM frames the GTX as an enhanced prototype and engineering template for the cars that follow — not a standalone statement car.

The trio

  • GTX — track-only, rear-drive, ~960 hp supercharged 6.8-litre V8 with sequential transaxle (already on Autotrayce tracker; published).
  • GTR — street-legal performance counterpart to the GTX (draft Car/Programme: jensen-interceptor-gtr). Milder aero than GTX in OEM family renders; H-pattern or automatic indicated for road cars.
  • GT — luxury grand tourer most closely inspired by the original Interceptor (draft: jensen-interceptor-gt). Press/design coverage describes a four-seat layout with slim rear-hinged rear doors in OEM renders — treat as design intent pending production confirmation.

“The Interceptor GTX is the first physical expression of our vision for the future of Jensen.” — David Duerden, Managing Director (OEM / LinkedIn announce)

What is confirmed vs TBC

  • Confirmed (OEM): GTX revealed; GTR and GT planned on shared aluminium chassis / coachwork path; road cars after further GTX development; UK design, engineering and handbuild.
  • Not confirmed for GTR/GT: customer power ratings, price, planned units, start of production / first delivery.
  • Reported (press, not OEM caps): GTX price rumoured ~£850–950k; GTX production not before ~2028 in some coverage; GTX/GTR IVA-style ultra-low volume vs larger low-volume GT.

Procurement / BD takeaway

Jensen is proving a clean-sheet aluminium Interceptor platform via a customer-capable track prototype before road homologation. Shared exterior form (~80% carry-over claimed) and a common V8 programme imply high tooling/supplier reuse across GTX → GTR → GT, with differentiation in aero, transmission, cabin (two-seat track vs four-seat luxury) and IVA vs series low-volume process. Watch for investor/partner announcements before treating GTR/GT SOP as scheduled.
