How a Car is Made
From a flat coil of steel to a finished, tested hypercar — explore every stage of the automotive production lifecycle and the materials, processes and suppliers that make it possible.
The Production Lifecycle
Manufacturing a modern car — particularly a low-volume hypercar — is one of the most complex engineering endeavours in the world. Hundreds of suppliers, thousands of components and dozens of discrete manufacturing stages must combine with precision to produce a vehicle that meets performance, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
The stages below represent the main chapters of the journey — from the first press forming sheet metal into body panels, all the way to the final car rolling off the line. Use the interactive carousel to explore each step of the process.
