Legacy & Impact
The AMG One marks a historic achievement as the first road car to successfully house a contemporary Formula 1 powertrain while meeting global emissions and noise regulations. Its development faced immense technical hurdles, particularly regarding the engine's idle speed and thermal management, making its eventual production a testament to Mercedes-AMG's engineering persistence. Its performance legacy is cemented by its record-breaking lap times, most notably setting the production car record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. By proving that highly efficient hybrid systems can deliver hypercar-level performance, the AMG One has redefined the possibilities of sustainable high-performance engineering in the 21st century.
