Overview
Mansory Design & Holding GmbH is an elite German luxury car modification and coachbuilding firm specializing in high-end vehicle conversions, bespoke aerodynamics, and interior refits. The company caters to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, focusing on supercars, hypercars, and ultra-luxury SUVs from brands like Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bentley. Mansory holds a distinct market position characterized by polarizing, ultra-exclusive aesthetic redesigns and in-house composite engineering.
History
Mansory was founded in 1989 by Iranian entrepreneur Kourosh Mansory, initially operating out of a workshop in Munich, Germany. Driven by Mansory's passion for British craftsmanship and Italian performance, the business initially concentrated on exclusive modification programs for brands such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. By mid-2001, outgrowing its initial facilities, Mansory relocated its headquarters to Brand in the Fichtelgebirge region of Bavaria, establishing expanded coachbuilding and engineering capabilities. In November 2007, Mansory significantly broadened its engineering reach and model coverage by acquiring the Porsche tuning division of Swiss specialist Rinspeed AG. This formed Mansory Switzerland AG based in Zumikon, allowing the group to expand into tuning platforms for Porsche, Range Rover, and BMW. Around this period, Mansory also established extensive dedicated carbon fiber autoclaves and composites manufacturing facilities across the nearby border in the Czech Republic, becoming an advanced composite supplier capable of OEM-level prototyping and small-series carbon production (notably collaborating on projects like the Lotus Evora GTE). Over the past two decades, Mansory evolved from a traditional aftermarket tuning workshop into a full-scale bespoke coachbuilder, introducing complete coachbuilt one-offs and ultra-limited production series based on platforms from Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Mercedes-AMG. Today, Mansory operates an expansive global distribution and showroom network—including a dedicated presence in Dubai and key global luxury hubs—while retaining integrated carbon autoclaves, upholstery workshops, and assembly facilities across Germany and Central Europe.
