Advanced Thermoplastic Resins
High-performance thermoplastic resin systems (e.g. PA, PPS, PEEK, PEKK) used for structural and under-bonnet components requiring thermal and chemical resistance.
Overview
Advanced thermoplastic resins encompass engineering and high-performance polymers such as polyamide (PA6/66), PPS, PEEK, PEKK, and thermoplastic elastomers. They are used neat, glass- or carbon-fibre reinforced, or as matrices in continuous-fibre thermoplastic composites (CFRTP). Their toughness, weldability, and recyclability make them attractive for automotive structural parts, battery enclosures, and under-bonnet components where fast cycle times and end-of-life recovery matter.
