Getting started

The four-step sourcing workflow, what each plan opens up, and where the reference libraries sit.

Autotrayce helps buyers and engineers at specialist and high-end vehicle manufacturers find, compare and keep track of suppliers. It is in private beta, so some features are still changing. If something is missing or unclear, use the feedback button at the bottom right of the screen when you are signed in.

The sourcing workflow

The Sourcing menu takes you through four steps. You can start at any of them.

  1. Discover suppliers. Describe what you need to source, such as a part, process, material or certification, and Supplier Discovery returns suppliers that match.
  2. Evaluate suppliers. Add suppliers to your shortlist and compare the evidence for each side by side.
  3. Sourcing projects. Keep the requirement, shortlisted suppliers, notes and decisions together in a project so the reasoning survives after the search.
  4. Build sourcing report. Turn a project into an internal sourcing review with the Report Builder.

Supplier Discovery, comparison, projects and the Report Builder need a Professional plan or above. Business adds shared projects for a team. See Membership and billing.

The reference libraries

The other menus hold the reference data that sits behind the workflow. Most of it can be browsed on a free account.

  • Suppliers: the supplier directory, the component library and the supplier map.
  • Vehicles: manufacturers, individual vehicles with the components and suppliers we can evidence, and the launch tracker.
  • Materials: the materials library, manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Insights: news, reports, markets, supply chain risk and the ownership and capacity trackers.

Before you rely on a figure

Each supplier, manufacturer and component page shows a Trayce Verified panel. It tells you which facts have been checked against an independent source and when. Treat the platform as the start of qualification, not the end of it: confirm capacity, lead times and certificates with the supplier before you commit. How the data is built explains what we check.

Keep confidential details out

Searches and reports are processed by our service providers, including an AI service. Don't enter confidential programme names, pricing or personal information you don't need to. Privacy and your data has more.
