Legacy & Impact

The Lanzante 95-59 occupies a unique space in automotive history - it's both a celebration of the past and a statement about what's possible in the present. The 1995 Le Mans victory it commemorates remains one of the greatest underdog stories in motorsport. Against purpose-built prototypes from major manufacturers, a modified road car (the McLaren F1 GTR) took overall victory - a feat that will likely never be repeated under modern regulations. Lanzante's tribute goes beyond mere aesthetics. By transforming the McLaren 750S into something that captures the F1 GTR's racing spirit, they've created a car that honors the original's performance philosophy rather than simply copying its appearance. The extensive aerodynamic modifications, weight reduction, and power increases make the 95-59 a legitimate track weapon that's also road-legal - much like the F1 GTR road cars that participated in that legendary race. For collectors, the 95-59 represents the ultimate McLaren tribute car, created by the very team that won Le Mans in 1995. Dean Lanzante's intimate knowledge of the F1 GTR and his company's proven expertise in road-legal conversions ensure this is no superficial homage but a genuine spiritual successor to one of racing's most iconic machines. With a production run of only 59 units, the 95-59 will rank among the most exclusive and significant McLaren-based specials ever created.
