Quality Sign-off & PDI
The final chapter. Before any vehicle leaves the factory gate, it must pass a comprehensive quality sign-off and pre-delivery inspection — the manufacturer's promise to the customer that every detail is correct.
Quality Sign-off Processes
No vehicle leaves the production line without a final sign-off. On a volume car this takes minutes; on a bespoke hypercar it can take days. In either case, the standard is non-negotiable.
Final Visual Audit
A trained quality auditor inspects every panel gap, paint surface, glass fit, trim line and badge position under controlled white lighting. A standardised scoring sheet records any cosmetic defect; vehicles above a threshold score are rejected for rework before they can proceed.
Build Sheet Verification
Every option, colour and bespoke feature is verified against the original customer order. On a hypercar, this may include validating hand-stitched leather colour, carbon weave pattern, personalised plaques and bespoke paint references.
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
PDI is the final factory gate check — tyres inflated to specification, all fluids topped up, spare wheel or puncture kit present, all locking keys and fobs included, vehicle documentation complete, and a final start-up check with engine idle monitored for anomalies.
Customer Acceptance & Handover Prep
Once signed off, the vehicle is cosmetically protected with transit film where required, loaded to outbound logistics and prepared for either direct customer handover at the factory or delivery to a dealer/distributor. On hypercars, a dedicated delivery event may be staged at the factory.
